2010 Candidates
Elections have consequences
As an American Citizen, it's your duty to educate yourself on the candidates and discharge your responsibilities as a voter in a thoughtful manner. Work, family and other responsibilites often make it difficult to spend the time necessary to evaluate the candidates. Sometimes folks make voting decisions based on 20 second sound bites on the major news networks. Sometimes the result of these hastily considered votes proves disastrous.
There's a easier way to make informed decisions on the issues that affect you. Get on the e-mail list of organizations that reflect your views and let them do the research for you. If you're a gun owner, the ISRA, NRA and GOA are such groups.
These organizations print and distribute a voters guide prior to elections. Unfortunantly, these guides are published after the candidates have been chosen by their respective parties and have survived the primary vote. We need to influence party decisions and build support for pro-second amendment candidates BEFORE the primary elections .
What does this entail? Well, "It ain't easy", as we say in Southern Illinois.
On this page, I'll give you information about pro-second amendment candidates and information on how you can help get them elected. This is a work in progress and I'll e-mail those on the Alert List of website changes or additions.
Governor - State of Illinois
Right now there's only one solid pro-gun candidate for the Governor's office that deserves gun owner support. That candidate is Bill Brady. Brady has a proven Second Amendment record and has consistantly received an A+ rating from the Illinois State Rifle Association. Here's a link to his website: http://bradyforillinois.com/
